Scholarship Description
Scotland Saltire Literacy is a program put together by the Scottish Government in collaboration with Scottish universities for citizens of named countries who wish to study full- time Masters degrees completely delivered in Scottish universities, in the areas of wisdom, technology, creative diligence, healthcare and medical sciences, renewable and clean energy.
Degree Level
Available for Masters degree students in science, technology, creative industries, healthcare and medical sciences, or renewable and clean energy offered at Scottish Universities. Distance learning courses are eligible.
Subject included are:
• Science – e.g. Earth Sciences; Environment; Energy; Geology; Weather and Climate; Plants/Botany; Animals/Zoology.
• Technology – e.g. Software; Engineering; Bioinformatics; Information; Systems; Multimedia; Engineering; Computers.
• Creative industries – e.g. Communications, Media and Culture; Broadcasting; Film; Animation; Journalism; Cultural; Publishing; New Media Studies; Computer Games / Computer Arts; Design; Graphic; Industrial; Interior; Fashion.
• Healthcare and medical sciences – e.g. Physical and Life Sciences; Astronomy; Chemistry; Physics; Biology; Health Sciences; Biotechnology.
• Renewable and clean energy -e.g. Sustainable Engineering; Renewable Energy; Biomass / Bio fuels; Hydro / Solar / Tidal / Wind power.

Value of Scholarship
A sum of £8000 are awarded to be used towards education freights for the duration of a time of full time study on a postgraduate Masters programme at any of Scotland’s advanced education institutions. Scholars will thus be responsible for any fresh costs and charges.

Eligibility Criteria
All interested applicants are expected to have the following:
• A tentative or unconditional offer of a place at a Scottish university on an eligible course that will be delivered physically in Scotland or via distance online literacy or via a combination of both.
• Be citizens of Canada, India, Japan, USA, Pakistan or China (Hong Kong citizens are also eligible as it’s a Special Administrative Region of China)
. • Be suitable to demonstrate that they can meet the costs of living in Scotland and the remaining education freights.
• Not have preliminarily studied in Scotland.
• Not have preliminarily entered a Saltire Scholarship.
• Meet the language conditions of the course.
• Complete an operation form and submit it by the ending date of 28 May 2022.
Also Aspirants interested in the Scotland Saltire scholarship must demonstrate an interest in studying in Scotland and/ or at a specific Scottish university and aspire to work and study in a global environment and take a position of leadership in their chosen career. They must also demonstrate a amenability and the necessary interpersonal and communication chops needed to share in the programme of conditioning that accompanies the literacy.
Application Procedure
Applicants applying for the Scotland Saltire Scholarship, must have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at a Scottish university on an eligible course. The education application form should be submitted online and would include your unique reference number you’ll have entered in the offer letter from your Scottish university.
